In the context of the search for identities appropriated during the last civil-military dictatorship with the complicity of business companies and the Church in Argentina, the human rights organisation «Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo» together with the National Library launched an unprecedented campaign for which they called me. From the Grandmothers’ Family Archive they assigned me a case of kidnapping and disappearance that occurred in 1977 and provided me with the photos that identify the victims: a young militant couple. They also provided me with the name of the Clandestine Centre for Torture and Extermination where these crimes took place. From there I contact the surviving son and in successive meetings he tells me his story and that of the child his mother gave birth to during her captivity. That identity is the one that «Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo» is trying to establish in order to recover.

I was invited to present the book together with the director of the National Library, Horacio González, the director of the Comic Strip Archive Judith Gociol and the vice-president of Abuelas de Playa de Mayo Rosa Rosinblit.
In relation to the transfer of traumatic experiences in comics, I wrote the academic text: «Historietizar la ausencia. La historieta documental y la búsqueda de justicia frente al Terrorismo de Estado en el caso de Abuelas de plaza de Mayo». En el contexto de la búsqueda de identidades apropiadas durante la última dictadura cívico-militar con complicidad empresarial y de la Iglesia en la Argentina la organización de derechs Humanos “Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo” junto con la Biblioteca Nacional lanzan una inédita campaña para la cual me convocan. Desde el Archivo Familiar de Abuelas me asignan un caso de secuestro y desaparición ocurrido en el año 1977 y me proveen de las fotos que identifican a las víctimas: una pareja joven de militantes. También me proveen del nombre del Centro Clandestino de Tortura y Exterminio donde dichos crímenes ocurrieron. A partir de allí me contacto con el hijo sobreviviente y en sucesivos encuentros me cuenta su historia y la de la niña/el niño que su madre habría alumbrado durante su cautiverio. Esa identidad es la que “Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo” intenta establecer para su recuperación.

Fui convocada para presentar el libro junto al director de la Biblioteca Nacional, Horacio González, la directora del archivo de Historieta Judith Gociol y la vicepresidenta de Abuelas de Playa de Mayo Rosa Rosinblit.
